In all seriousness and I know I give VT a hard time I watch nearly every ACC Basketball game that I can get and you never see stuff like this in other games. Other schools have fan issues but for the most part the players behave.

Cant wait to vthokie to argue that those kicks amd intentional fouls never happened.

Thugs, misfits, and malcontents. And that's referring to the coaches...players are much worse. lol

Well, if you don't have the talent to match up, just beat the hell out of the opposition.

A reason to hate Dook: a friend in NC took her eighth grade girls team to a BB camp...K was a guest coach. Within 30 minutes after K takes the floor, with his vocabulary filled with raunchy language, she told her girls to go get dressed. They left the camp. What a role model for young girls.

Where was this team from? Not too many 8th grade teams in NC and I was wondering where this happened.
First of all I do not believe Coach K would use this language as you speak of. I am not a Duke or NC fan. I just like to watch good basketball. Anyway, I have worked camps in Eastern Invitational Camp, The Pocano Invitaional Camp, Raleigh, Winston Salem and UNC -Charlotte..places where Coach K has guest spoke. He has always talked about hard work, school, and respect...blah, blah, blah but I have NEVER seen him use profanity in ANYTHING he talked about......and these were high school boys.
Some of you have made up your minds already about Coach K but what I have seen of him, but he was nothing but a class act and he and Coach Williams are great coaches and recruitors (sp)!

She taught in Charlotte. I wasn't there, but I believe her story. That's all I know, but I have read his lips during many games, and I have no reason to doubt her.

Being a Hoo fan I dislike Duke just because they are Duke and Tech because regardless what they may say they are not relevant. History tells us that the two teams normally play an entertaining game but if I have to watch Washington flop on the floor one more time like a fish out of water Im gonna turn the tv off and turn on some music. Tech has some good freshmen playing but lack the true team concept. Hopefully for them that will come in time. Maybe not after all they still recruit the 757 and the unsportsmanship antics will just continue to be accepted as justification that sports rules Tech. Its a shame because they have made so many strides in academics. Ill get off the soapbox and pass it along now

I went to the Coach K coaching clinic this past fall and he did break out some nice language. Basically the camp is where coaches go and watch Duke practice while Coach K explains the drills and their purpose. At one point in the morning session, the guys were dogging it (this was their 8th practice of this season) and he laid into them pretty good, dropping about 5 F bombs in the course of a few minutes.

I thought it was pretty hilarious. I'm a Duke fan though. The coaches I was with just made note that the language wasn't something we were to take note of to bring back to teach at practice.
